FAQ
What are the black dots on my teak furniture?
Although teak will not mildew, mildew sometimes grows on dirt and other foreign substances that have not been removed from the wood. This occurs more commonly in warm, humid climates. If this happens, please follow standard cleaning instructions immediately.
There are cracks in my teak. Is this common?
Yes, when teak is exposed to the elements imperfections such as hairline cracks may develop over time. This is a natural part of the weathering process and does not jeopardize the piece.
Some of our teak comes with a “pre-weathered” with a silver-grey finish. This finished teak has been vigorously brushed to obtain a textured, seasoned finish and a water-resistant protective coat is applied. This process protects the wood against the weather, UV rays and various stains such as wine, coffee or oil and therefore requires little maintenance.
Over time, the protective finish applied will begin to deteriorate. If you notice your teak is becoming less water resistant it may be time to apply a protective finish using our Teak Shield solution.
Our polyethylene (plastic) furniture is weather & UV resistant and can be used outside all winter long, meaning they are almost maintenance free.
When cleaning is needed, follow the simple instructions below or
use our Multi-Surface Cleaner if a deeper clean is necessary.
1. Brush off loose dirt using a soft cloth
2. Hose down using clean water source.
3. Prepare a cleaning mixture of water and mild soap & wash using a soft cloth
4. Rinse thoroughly
5. Air dry
Handle With Care: Although ceramic table tops are very durable - chemical resistant, fireproof, UV and heat resistant - it is not designed to support heavy weight over any length of time. Under no circumstances should any persons (including children) sit on the table.
When placing your tabletop on the frame be sure to remove all packing and avoid setting it down hard or putting pressure on the edges. Ceramic table tops should always be handled by 2 persons and held in a vertical position with the tabletop on its side.
Note: Carrying the tabletop horizontally can cause cracks to develop in the center of top of the table.
Maintenance & Cleaning
Follow the steps below to keep your tabletop looking new:
1. Use a microfiber fabric to wipe the tabletop.
2. Prepare a solution of clean water and mild dish detergent. A dab of concentrate detergent can be useful in small areas for more stubborn stains.
3. Afterward, wipe the table with a clean microfiber cloth to remove the solutions.
Storage: For winter storage we recommend covering your ceramic top table with a durable & breathable protective cover.
Note: Keep table clear of snow & ice build up as the weight will cause the top to crack.

Indoor Furniture
Regular rotation and fluffing of your seat and back cushions is important for the longevity of your furniture.
We recommend dry vacuuming (with a soft-bristle brush attachment) to remove dust and debris.
See below for cleaning instructions specific to your indoor fabric. Having the correct cleaning solutions on hand will allow you to respond quickly to unexpected spills. When cleaning a spot or stain, always pre-test on a small, inconspicuous area before proceeding. If your furniture requires an overall cleaning, use a professional upholstery cleaning service.

Fabric Cleaning Codes:
Fabric cleaning codes determine the best and least expensive methods of home cleaning for your furniture. Due to the various ways that furniture can be stained or damaged, there is no guarantee that the results will be completely successful. Use a professional cleaning service when a soil mark can’t be removed using the below guidelines.

Natural top-grain leather possesses a distinctive charm that sets it apart as a premium material. Its uniqueness is evident in the subtle pleats, natural wrinkles, and occasional marks that develop over time. These characteristics enhance its authenticity and individuality. As leather ages, it often becomes softer and gains a richer appearance, further reinforcing its value and uniqueness.
Avoid using natural leather furniture near heat (from sun at a window, or from a heat vent/radiator). It will fade from long exposure, as well as dry out. Don’t use cleaning solvents, but instead dry vacuum and use a damp cloth and mild soap as required. If a spill occurs, wipe up as soon as possible to prevent staining/water marks on the leather. Only use leather conditioner if the leather has dried out from heat exposure, and test on a small area before applying to the whole frame.
Wood offers unique characteristics that stem from its organic origins and tree species. Even when we aim for consistency in the design and manufacturing of our furniture pieces, natural variations in color and grain are inevitable. These unique characteristics
showcase the inherent beauty and authenticity of wood.
It is normal for natural wood product to shrink in dry air and swell in humidity. Keeping a normal humidity range in our home will help to prevent warping, cracking or swelling of your furniture. Always use protection (such as felt, pads, etc.) under your décor, and use coasters/hot pads to prevent the surface from becoming stained. If a spill occurs, wipe up as soon as possible. It is strongly advised to only use a soft cloth for dusting, and mild dish soap and lukewarm water to clean the surface of the wood. After wiping with soapy water, rinse and dry in the direction of the wood grain.
